Biography

Rebecca concentrates her practice in commercial litigation, electronic commerce, and corporate and business matters.  Rebecca has assisted clients with matters as diverse as complex business tort and breach of contract claims, domain name, product quality, commercial lease, and payment disputes, negotiations regarding gas leasing rights, business reorganizations, and restaurant acquisitions, and administrative proceedings involving multiple federal agencies.

While pursuing her law degree, Rebecca worked part-time as a law clerk at Mitts Milavec, ran her own marketing consulting firm, and represented the regional transportation authority as a Certified Legal Intern, where she tried cases before arbitration panels of the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas.

Before becoming an attorney, Rebecca worked in various corporate marketing and management positions and then ran her own marketing and sales promotion consulting firm.  Rebecca has many years of practical experience working with large and small manufacturing companies in a variety of market segments.

Professional and Community Involvement

Rebecca serves as Corporate Secretary, Director, and Trustee for the Incorporated Trustees of Abington Quarterly Meeting of the Society of Friends.  Rebecca is a former Member of the Board of Directors of the United States Rowing Association, where she served as Vice President. 

Rebecca won the American Bar Association Section of Business Law’s 2006-2007 Mendes Hershman Student Writing Contest third prize for her article titled The Risks and Rewards of Corporate Blogging.  Rebecca also won the American Bar Association Tort Trial & Insurance Practice Section 2007 Law Student Writing Contest third prize for the same article.

Rebecca is a member of the American Bar Association (ABA), the National Lesbian and Gay Law Association, and the Philadelphia Bar Association.

Pro Bono

Rebecca was inducted into the Rubin Public Interest Law Honor Society for volunteering over fifty hours as a legal intern at the Consumer Bankruptcy Assistance Project during law school.
