Biography

Maurice is nationally known for his relentless commitment to his clients and for creative solutions. He litigates in state and federal courts around the country and has had highly publicized successes for financial institutions, bankruptcy trustees, and public and private corporations and their officers. Maurice has extensive experience with litigation involving complex commercial transactions, funds transfers, payment systems, and business bankruptcies.

Maurice understands the unique needs of his clients and develops dynamic solutions for their legal problems whether their needs involve creditors’ rights proceedings, enforcement of payment obligations, or other business litigation services. Clients from across the country have sought his innovative approach to litigation and dispute resolution. His commitment to a potent presentation of his clients’ rights has earned him considerable acclaim and recognition from his colleagues, adversaries and numerous courts. Maurice has received an AV Peer Review Rating, the highest level of professional excellence in the Martindale-Hubbell system and has been named a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer for the last five years.

Maurice’s dedication to his clients and the integrity of the legal process has also been distinguished by his pro bono representations, which include a successful challenge to an Alabama prisoner’s death sentence. After thirteen years of intensive challenge through state court and then federal court proceedings, Maurice’s relentless efforts resulted in a reversal of the client’s death sentence.
